My ISP said to check proxy settings, but I'm completely ignorant in these ;_;
If someone can help me I would highly appreciate it!

And more to come!
The following are rewards for Patrons who pledge during this month of June!
JCCDStudio are a group of Japanese anime illustrators. They have a project about creating anime drawing tutorials with English subtitles for non-Japanese speakers.
However, they need funding in order to make this project come true.
They have started a campaign on Kickstarter, but only 6 days are left and they still need 20% more funding to reach their goal.
If you're interested, consider supporting them here: goo.gl/C3Ly6p !
They have interesting rewards in return for your donation, do check them out!
As you know, if they don't reach their goal by the deadline, they won't receive any of the amounts people pledged.
So please help spread the word and make this project succeed!
Some of the gorgeous artworks drawn by these illustrators:
PS: I'm neither a part of the project, nor affiliated with them at all. I'm just helping spread the word
I know YouTube has a built-in audio library, and I do use these. But most of the time the music there doesn't fit my taste.
I'm looking for sources that have music similar to Japanese anime OSTs, or vocaloid music, or modern stuff that are pleasing to listen to xD
If you know of any good sources please let me know, I'll highly appreciate it!
And if you are a music producer and are interested in collaboration then please let me know. I will definitely credit you in my videos as I always credit any kind of music I use!
But I will definitely get back to it!
Thank you for your patience and I apologize for the inconvenience m(_ _)m
Update: Thank you to all who have contacted me!
I will reply to them now, and if I still needed help, I will update this journal again ^_^
I am wondering if there are any story writers here that are open to collaboration or help me with brainstorming XD
I have a story idea that I want to turn into a manga (hopefully), yet I am struggling with the story build-up and events.
In other words, I have the main idea of the story, and the reasoning behind it. Yet I am unable to make the events progress in a logical way.
I have had this story idea for years yet there has not been any progress from my side so I thought of asking the people who are specialized in this!
I'm aiming to draw a logical story with a deep meaning behind, because I want it to be worthy.
Details about the story:
The target audience is teenagers
Story genres: Angst - School- Parallel universe - Fantasy (maybe)
Story length: Not more than 4 manga chapters
I don't want to disclose the story plot publicly for personal reasons, but I hope you got the idea from the genres!
What I'm looking for is:
Discussion, brainstorming, collaborative writing.
I need someone to discuss the story with an make it progress, as simple as that.
Unfortunately, I cannot pay you for your efforts. But if this project turns real then you will definitely be credited in my book.
If the story turns out to be an awesome masterpiece then I will make sure to find ways to THANK and THANK you xD!
If you are interested, please send me a note or email via firstname.lastname@example.org
We will then agree on a platform to chat and discuss

UPDATE#2: Commission Terms
UPDATE#1: Change of Payment Methods
I will be switching to Payoneer. Please check the details below.
I'm back again to accept commissions ^0^/
But this time, I want to implement a new system.
You see, I've been doing commissions for years as "Full body", "Half body"... etc types.
It is nice to do these but I kinda got bored and tired of them.
I want to draw more meaningful artworks; ones with a story behind them, or filled with emotions, or perhaps with a scenery. So that at the end of the year when I look back at my works, I would feel more accomplished.
I have not yet reached the level of financial independence where I can stop taking commissions completely (still very far from that). So instead of drawing repeated poses and expressions, I have decided to try this new system.
I am hopeful that the result will be happy for both me, and you (the commissioner).
*Note : Please read the whole journal before asking for commissions

I always enjoy asking for your opinions, it's really fun and helpful to read your comments and know your opinions
You're like my #1 most preferred feedback community ^0^/
So Thank you so much!! <333
This time I want to ask you for feedback about my online shop, click here to visit:
A while ago, I opened my first online shop to sell merchandise of my artworks.
I kindly request you to take a look if you haven't yet, and give me your opinion regarding (or answer the following questions):
- Are the prices reasonable?
- Are the products interesting?
- What products would you most-likely purchase?
- What other merchandise would you like to see available?
This will not only help in my online shop, but also for my future Comic Cons. So I'll be really thankful if you help me with this
Someday I want to make one for myself, so I'd like to be ahead and know more about book designing now >w<
I read that many artists prefer to make books that are square or nearly square, so that both horizontal and vertical pictures have about the same amount of white space on the pages.
What do you think?
If you have more useful information would you please share them here?
I would like to share my story of struggle and confusion with you and listen to your opinion.
I love drawing since I was a child, it was my first and most beloved hobby. I kept on sketching and sketching, but wasn't really taking it seriously until I joined deviantart and watched real professionals and wanted to be one as well. So drawing became my first priority, and anything other than that was a time waste (including watching anime which I really love).
But at the same time, I gave a lot of care to my academic life.
Since grade school, I always made sure to study hard and be into the top students, always aiming for #1. Always acing my tests and struggling to maintain my ranking.
So in my senior year of high school, I worked extra hard and ranked 3rd on my school, and 6th on my city.
I'm not saying this to brag about myself. But the point is, being such a top student in our society always leads people to think of two main majors: Medicine or Engineering. Choosing any other major is a waste, and has "no future".
So I went with the usual and got admitted to an Engineering program since I like physics and math, and really hate studying medicine.
Anyway, here again, I studied extra hard and maintained my Honors ranking.
So basically, when your instructors see you working so hard, being the most active in their classes and so, they start to think and see you're intelligent and have so much potential to pursue higher degrees and get involved into scientific research.
I hated engineering in my first 3 years of college. But in my 4th and last year, I started to "supposedly love it" due to all the encouragement I got.
The idea of doing masters grew bigger and bigger. I started dreaming of being an academic professor and researcher and all.
I felt so motivated and applied for scholarships in local universities, but I didn't get accepted to any.
It's been a year since I graduated engineering, I applied for two semesters.
I felt so desperate after my first rejection, and even more after the second. I started feeling like a loser, seeing all my engineering colleagues advancing in their careers yet I'm still stuck.
But that all disappeared after I switched gears and came back to my real passion; drawing!
I participated in comic con, opened an online shop, drew a series of children storybooks in collaboration with an author. And most importantly, I'm back to drawing more frequently and eager to improve.
It's like I found a totally new path of life.
I have a lot of accomplishments when it comes to art, totally unlike engineering.
I feel great about myself now. Yet at the same time, I'm still confused. I'm not sure if I'm doing the right thing ditching my academic degree and focusing on my hobby.
I have applied again for masters for the upcoming semester. But I'm not at all motivated, and secretly hoping I don't get accepted again. Yet I felt I had to apply since it's a chance not to be wasted and all my paperwork is ready.
I had an instructor telling me once that in 10 years time I'll regret not going for higher studies.
So my evergoing confusion is, which path should I take? Am I doing the right thing? Will I ever regret it?
I always wished I enrolled into an art college instead. And my dream was to study in Anime college in Japan.
Yet I've seen people who hated art or lost their enthusiasm after getting enrolled into art colleges. Some also said the knowledge isn't worth the tuition since you can pretty much learn everything on the Internet nowadays.
And at the same time, I've seen people who are both great artists and have a non-art career.
So yeah, what would you do if you were me?
I have never felt so confused before. Life after college really is an open path, and it's not easy at all to feel determined on the path you choose.
Sorry for the extremely long journal. If you have read up till here THANK YOU so much ;~;
I'll really appreciate listening (I mean reading) your opinions.
Sai is such a useful and simple software, you can produce such great results with it as it is.
But I am sure you know it lacks a lot of other needed features, which is why we switch to photoshop or other softwares for refining our artworks.
But how about if our beloved Sai gets upgraded?
More cool features?
I'm not sure how many people check the Sai official website. But I frequently do. And you don't know how delighted I felt when I saw Sai Ver.2 in the "Development Room"
It's actually available for trial, so that means it's coming out very soon!
You can check it out here: www.systemax.jp/en/sai/devdept…
So because I am very curious, I downloaded and tried it on a whim:
It doesn't look much different on the surface. So why am I so excited?
I'll tell you why, because it has a BUNCH of useful features I always wished they were available in Sai!!
The main ones that caught my attention are:
1. TEXT TOOL
3. PERSPECTIVE RULER
4. MAX CANVAS SIZE UP TO 100,000x100,000 px
5. MAX NUMBER OF LAYERS UP TO 8190 (YEEESSSS!!!!)
6. PLENTY OF LAYER MODES LIKE PHOTOSHOP
Sorry I wrote in Caps but I can't help it I'm so happy and excited XD
I'm sure you won't blame me for my excited-ness because you will as well
Maybe you already know of this new version, but I wanted to share it for the majority who doesn't know yet (according to my humble knowledge again xD)
I was thinking of switching to another software that supports perspective ruler and all because I want learn it to work on my background skill.
But now I'm thinking there is no need for that.
Thank you Sai team!!
World-wide shipping is available.
You can find all merchandise I sold during MEFCC, which include:
- Prints (A3, A4, A5)
- Bookmarks (5x16 cm)
- Buttons (45 mm)
First 5 orders above $20 (excluding shipping costs) will get a free sketch!
Any feedback is welcome!
I hope you enjoy shopping at my store
Zoom in to my buttons collection:
My most beloved artwork of the con was this girl under starry sky, I had it as A3, A4 & bookmark. The bookmark got sold out! (YAY!)
And overall, my table consisted of mainly original artworks. I didn't have the time to draw much new stuff, so I used my previous artworks. I also drew very few fanarts because I wanted to depend on my original content mainly.
It felt great when people appreciated my originals <33
I spent my time drawing commissions yet I forgot to take pictures of them , except this last one which was done for a dear instagram friend (I'm not sure if she has a dA account)
Now the comic con is over, and I have many stuff left, I'm planning to sell them online very soon. Would you be interested to get some?
I wanted to share this with you. And it will also be a memorial journal for me to remember this beautiful experience every time I read it x3
I'm not a good blogger or writer, yet I hope you enjoyed reading this >w<
I'm very likely to participate again next year, it's definitely worth it ^0^!
I have promised myself to follow my dreams and passion, nothing feels better than that.
So I'm looking forward to work on bigger projects and achievements. Stay tuned to see improvements too (>w<)/
Thank you for reading up till here <3
I hope you have a great day and enjoy what you're doing!
- Eating: Banana -w-
I hope everyone is doing good
I am participating in a comic con for the first time and I would like to gather some tips/advices/opinions
What are you most interested in getting from artists in comic con? Prints? Or other merchandise?
If you prefer prints, what are the best print sizes and paper type (glossy/matte) in your opinion?
Do you look for original artworks or fanarts?
Are there any good online companies that do prints/merchandise with economic prices and good quality?
This is just for the sake of gathering information. It's my first time and I would like it to go good and successful x'D So any kind of information you share will be highly appreciated!
Thank you very much in advance ~
Basically, I animated a screenshot I drew earlier.
You can watch the video here:
I haven't done a PV in a long time so I'm very happy with this ;w; <33
I like doing these things, so here we go x3!
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
7 years. I spent my first year on a different account (deleted now)
But time has really flown since then!
2.What does your username mean?
I spent a long time choosing my nickname. I looked up a Latin words list and found this!
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Daydreamer - Sensitive - Ambitious
4. Are you left or right handed?
5. What was your first deviation?
I was so proud of it back then lol xD
6.What is your favourite type of art to create?
Anime, of course!
7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
I'd like to learn (and master) drawing flowers and plants
8. What was your first favourite?
That's really hard to remember
9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Anime, again xD
10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
she was my first top-inspiration-source here ;w;
11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I guess dA in general helped me realize that I can one day become a professional artist. I never had that encouragement in RL, so it really felt great :'D
13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
My #1 is my wacom intuos tablet
I recently started doing traditional, so copics are #2 for sure
14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Where else besides my room
15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
2010 was very special in dA. I met a lot of artists, drew a lot and improved a lot as well. It was so lively back then.
If I miss anything in dA then I miss those times. (And I miss the me back then as well).
I am glad you can read this message, or you still care to check out this page.
It saddens me how deviantART has become, it is dying slowly, people have abandoned it. If you are an old devinatART user then you can definitely tell what I'm talking about.
It used to be such a lively place, where everyone can share their art and enjoy interacting and learning from other artists. Beginner artists had a place, had support and encouragement, unlike what I see now, where they stand almost no chance of being discovered. Even popular artists, our idols, even those got affected. Yes, the feedback they get now is still great when compared to others, yet it is nothing to what it was few years ago.
With the rise of the social networks popularity, people have slowly drifted away from this place, or maybe check it on occasions, and -of course- they have nothing but piled-up inboxes that they wouldn't feel like checking.
I guess the changes of deviantART website and features have an effect as well, and more is coming with their plan on simplifying the website and removing many of the great features that were once there.
When I first joined deviantART, I was nothing but a beginner artists (I still consider myself one until now though). I had poor skills, yet people still cared to check my art out and encouraged me. I watched other artists and learned from them and worked on improving myself, it was such a motivating place.
I used to recommend every talented person I know to join this community, hoping they would rise up and improve like I did. Yet now, unfortunately, I cannot do that anymore.
So, to wrap this up, the message I am trying to deliver is, if you feel the same way like I do, then let us work on restoring this place.
Get rid of your piled-up inbox, edit your +watch preferences, keep only the kind of messages you want to see. Unwatch people that you don't want to see their works in your inbox (including me if I was). Leave the groups that fill your inbox with posts that you end up deleting without checking.
You are here to watch the people that inspire you, you are here to improve and learn, or support.
Support the people that you like their works; favorite and comment on their works. Give them a reason to come back active on this place. Restore this website and make it lively like it once was.
deviantART is a one of a kind art community, there is no other place that matches how good it is. For me, it is the reason for how my skills are today, I am forever grateful to it and its people.
Work with me on restoring it and keeping it lively despite whatever changes they make. If you like this place, that is.
Thank you for reading the whole thing.
Feel free to share your thoughts here, whether you agree or disagree.
